Getting a hand value as close to 21 as possible is the aim of blackjack.
You compete against the dealer and their hand.
You and the dealer are dealt two cards each, forming the initial hand.
If the combined value of your first two cards equal 21, you win.
You can add a third card to your hand by selecting Draw.
You can also select Stand to keep your hand as is.
The dealer must draw for a hand equaling 16 or less.
They must stand if their hand equals 17 or more.
If both you and the dealer have matching hands, the game is a push and you receive your wager.
Split
You can split your initial hand to create multiple if it consists of matching cards.
You'll have to pay the same wager as on your initial hand to cover this new second hand.
If you split Aces, you will not be eligible to win blackjack with either hand.
Double Down
With this option, you can double the wager on your first bet and add an additional card.
This extra card can be dealt facing up or facing down.
Insurance
If the dealer's first card turns out to be an Ace, you can buy insurance to negate the risk of them having blackjack.
Insurance will cost half of your initial wager.
You lose insurance if the dealer ends up not having blackjack.
If the dealer does have blackjack, you lose your initial wager and will receive an insurance bet payout.
